Common disease: Lack of exercise

Lack of exercise is a civilization phenomenon caused by changes in professional and working life with the trend towards predominantly sedentary activities in modern industrial society. (Source: Wikipedia)

Effects of lack of exercise

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 1.4 billion people worldwide do so little exercise that it increases their risk of cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, dementia and various types of cancer. According to the WHO definition, there is a lack of exercise if at least 150 minutes of exercise per week or 75 minutes of sport per week are not fulfilled. With 42.2 percent of the population, Germany occupies a top position among industrialized countries, ahead of the USA with 40 percent and the United Kingdom with 36 percent (as of 2016). A joint that is moved too little - stiffens!

Additional problem for older people...

... many older people had to work physically hard earlier and therefore put a lot of strain on their joints. The result today is joint pain caused by arthritis (joint inflammation) and osteoarthritis (age-related joint wear = breakdown of cartilage layers)

So move, but without strain?

Our solution: Let yourself be moved!

As long as you are mobile, you decide!

Advantages of movement without strain:

  • more movement in the joints - without pressure in the joint

can also be used for arthritis and osteoarthritis

  • promotes blood circulation - without straining the heart and

raising blood pressure (NO EXERCISE BIKE)

  • trains the tendons and ligaments - gives more stability

  • promotes digestion like a walk - even in the dark and bad weather

  • Fully-fledged movement, as the exercise can be done in both directions

    can be made

  • Comparable to swimming - movement without strain

  • Stimulates your metabolism - ideal for diabetes

  • brings more oxygen into the body and head

  • great support for dementia and depression

Easy to use

How does it work?

  • Switch the main switch (red) to "ON"

  • Now other diodes light up next to the operating lamp

  • the program "speed level 1 - duration of exercise 5 minutes - forward" is preset

  • Select the speed, duration of the exercise and the direction of training and simply press "Start"

  • for the direction of exercise you can choose, -forward /        -backward / alternating -forward and -backward (as physiotherapists recommend)

Only the upper body: arms, shoulder and back

Large, soft foam grips enable healthy shoulder, back and arm movement.

Only the lower body: hips, knees and feet

Pedals with a large contact surface and safety loops offer a comfortable and effective training movement for the hips, knees and the entire lower body.

...or upper and lower body together!

In our experience, normal chairs have proven to be the best seating option in front of the device. This gives you an optimal sitting posture, almost at a right angle. However, since everyone has different requirements, it is recommended that you simply try it out comfortably at home. An armchair or couch is not so recommendable, as the seat height is usually too low. The important thing for a comfortable sitting position is simply to let the FlexaGym do the work in a relaxed manner!

Do your training forwards, backwards or alternately forwards and backwards. You can even set the frequency of the interval rotations. Faster changes of direction or a longer interval in one direction can be selected here with 6 levels.

So that the FlexaGym offers a firm stand during the exercise, you have 2 adjusting screws under a footrest.

This allows you to compensate for unevenness in the ground

"After using the predecessor model regularly for years, which unfortunately gave up the ghost, it only took me a short time to consider purchasing the new FlexaGym. Now I can even do the exercise in the other direction."

A. Berg from Hammelburg

"This exercise has helped me to cope on my own in old age for years. I am very happy that I have my own movement trainer at home. I do the exercise with him when I want - preferably in front of the television."

A. Hain from Stuttgart

"We bought the predecessor model in the early 2000s. As we got older, we felt that this movement training brought us more and more positive benefits for our bodies. Our house and garden require us to stay fit and vital."

H. Köth from Münnerstadt

"Professionally, I always worked in canal construction during GDR times and therefore often stood up to my hips in cold water. This gave me a nerve condition in my legs. The FlexaGym has helped me to stay mobile and be able to walk."

H. Otto from Elsterwerda

Our recommendation

The FlexaGym automation trainer performs all movements itself without any effort. You can determine your training pace and the duration of the exercise yourself using the speed controller and timer, depending on your physical condition.

This training method, especially for older people, causes a sustainable movement regeneration of the joints and muscles.
Start the exercise loosely and relaxed with a suitable chair that offers you a comfortable sitting position. First try 15 minutes calmly on level 1-2. After a few training sessions, you can increase the speed.
If you are unsure, be sure to speak to your doctor about this passive movement training!
